With all the negativity we suffer these days I thought it would be a great idea to start a "Good Day" or "Good News" thread. I hope we keep all posts in this thread upbeat and positive, and the Mods help keep it that way.

Did a Skype call on the patio this morning at 7am with a cup of coffee at around 72 degrees.

Went to the gym and did 1 3/4 hours of exercise: 63 minutes on elliptical, 25 minutes of free weight lifting, 10 minutes stretching then 10 minutes sauna

Came home and went to the pool for 2 hours to tan and swim. Had the place all to myself. Not a cloud in the sky and views of all the mountains in North Scottsdale like Pinnacle Peak and Troon.

Finished up with a nice shower and now working a little on a Powerpoint for Thursday's concall with Argentina and DC.

Going to eat a little salad and then retire to bed to watch some reruns of M*A*S*H, Everybody Loves Raymond, Big Bang Theory.

I'll probably rub one out just before bed so I sleep like a bear.......

The view coming down from up here in NE Scottsdale has been fantastic the last week. Clear as can be and no haze. The morning temps are great again. I'm here at the place I'm in until Feb 1st now! Got two extra months.

I'm an IT boss, and in our world the vast majority of the great people want to telework. I'm old, but the last 7 years have taught, no re-taught, this old dog that the best people need little supervision. Have quarterly meetings where you meet0and-drink, but after that let their "travel" not be to an office (unless that's what they want), but to do their work in distant places. One other thing, let them travel well. Whatever you spend in "better" places comes back in an employee who works hard. Treat them like Wal-Mart and you get Wal-Mart; treat them like gold and they'll piss you off with 3:09am calls with great ideas "that just can't wait"!

I agree and probably should have clarified as I mixed two items: employees will be out in the field and the office is to meet potential clients.
