Report: Tom Brady destroyed his phone. Appeal has been denied.
Nope.....he did nothing wrong.
http://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nfl/...eld/ar-AAdBouH The NFL is going to reject Tom Brady’s appeal and uphold the four-game suspension he is facing for his alleged role in Deflategate, according to one report. Stephen A. Smith said on ESPN’s “First Take” Tuesday morning that a source told him Roger Goodell will not reduce or overturn Brady’s suspension. Perhaps more shocking, Smith cited a separate source who told him Brady actually destroyed his own personal cell phone rather than just refusing to turn it over. We have known all along that the bigger issue here is Brady’s lack of cooperation during the Ted Wells investigation. The NFL was furious that Brady wouldn’t give up “relevant” text messages and emails that might help clarify his level of involvement — or lack thereof — in Patriots equipment managers allegedly letting air out of game balls. Smith clarified that he was told by one source that the NFL is going stand by its four-game suspension within the next 24-48 hours, whereas the information about Brady destroying his cell phone was just “something I heard.” It was almost as if he was downplaying the information knowing how much of a bombshell the rumor was. Reports in recent weeks have been all over the place regarding Brady’s appeal. There has been some indication that the two sides are working toward a settlement, though reports like this one make that seem unlikely. If the NFL upholds the suspension, no one would be stunned. If someone can prove that Brady destroyed his cell phone, that would be tough for the New England Patriots quarterback to explain. |

on ESPN right now, no link
The NFL has file a confirmation court hearing in Manhattan to get the suspension approved and prevent a long court case or injunction. By filing it in New York is also set the location and keeps it away from the judge in Minnesota that always rules in favor of the NFLPA. It also keeps case from being tried in Brady's home location. smart move by the NFL

Like it's relevant when he refused to turn it over due to precedents set by other players like Favre and Gostkowski because per the Players Union players don't have to and they shouldn't as it sets a bad precedent for other players. But only Brady gets accused of covering up a crime. LOL! Do you actually think Brady would have turned it over during appeal too? You can't say Tom isn't loyal to players in the league. Meanwhile, there's other ways to get that data anyway. |

What? Sorry to see you are at a loss for words. It's hard articulating an argument for some.

patsfans.com or patriotsplanet.com Probably are others, but those are the two that I know about. I don't go to either one but rarely.

fair enough, the way you worded it just sounded wrong.

So if it is found out that Brady destroyed his phone by throwing it at a lightpost first would he get another game added, via the Sean Smith ruling?

Goodell being judge and jury was part of a bargained contractual agreement
NFLPA/Brady have zero legal argument there

If you really think they're choosing a court based on who the local teams are, you're on crack.
