I don't care since I'll be on the road today, but if I'm thinking about possibly starting a game thread next week, I fully intend to ignore whatever middle of the night nonsense Bruiser puts up.

I think it's hilarious how competitive it gets when it comes to starting these game threads. I couldn't care less if Ed Kemper escaped from maximum security prison, ran straight to the library, and posted the official Royals thread before getting tackled by an officer. As long as there's a thread to discuss the game, why does it matter?

Some of us have been discussing the team when the Royals were losing 100 games.

I think any Royal fan over the age of 12 has discussed candid 100 loss seasons. Let's not act like certain people "deserve" to start a game thread over others because they saw Jackie Robinson hit 387 for the KC Monarchs back in 1945. Your fanhood is admirable, but let's just stick with baseball talk and not give two shits on who starts the discussion.

Whatever dude, I'm not going to debate this with you. This is not something you can "win" or be "correct" in. I'd probably defer to almost anyone else on the board who starts a GDT (I wasn't going to do anything this weekend), but a lot of us think Bruiser is being an asshat.

I don't want to "win" anything except today's game against the shitty ass Rangers. Kill the guy with kindness and stop responding with "F YOU DIE IN AN AIDS STEW!" and maybe he'll stop bating everybody with game threads.

In all fairness, no one should be bitching about starting a GDT, with probably the exception of alnorth. The guy has been a long time staple of the best Royals GDTs and he's right when it comes down simply to the fact that he shouldn't be crowded out every time now, just because all of a sudden a lot of people who didn't give 2 farts about this team are suddenly on the bus.

I kinda overreacted and I was never starting a game thread today, but the "haha suck it fools!" OP really annoyed me.

Like I said. Really anyone else bitching is falling on deaf ears. You have been a staple of the best even when a Royals game thread would draw less than 100 posts. Just because it's the current hot topic doesn't mean you should be constantly pushed aside because there's all of a sudden some fervor by people to start them.

It simply boils down to respect for you and your faithfully doing us here the favor of starting and updating the game threads when in reality 99% of the people on here didn't care that much about them when losing, and certainly didn't take the effort or time to start and update the GDTs like you've been doing for years!

That's not being petty, that's recognizing loyalty and it doesn't need to be pissed on in your case because if the other shoe drops the bandwagon section will make for the exits just as quickly as they rushed to the front of the stage.

So, I just think that a lot of the comments to the contrary are typically coming from people who have not typically been regulars to the Royals Repository or game threads, and are talking out of hat, and would be wise to as it pertains to you.

I could give a shit who starts a game thread but it is worth noting that alnorth's threads have the starting lineups and updated stats. Bruiser's have him telling everyone to **** off and a picture any 3rd grader could put on a thread. Just sayin
