1. We won the bidding war for DeVito & Robinson.

2. Boldin is 3 years older, doesn't add a new skill-set (he's a slower, stronger Bowe), and costs $6mil per year + a draft pick.

They're filling in the gaping holes left by the previous regime. They don't have a enough money to fill in those gaps with studs across the board. Not sure what you want them to do?

They're creating a baseline of depth, and then they'll (hopefully) draft better players to come in behind these stop-gaps they're signing in free agency in a year or two.
