I have to admit... Kid Rock's version was the first I'd heard of that song. (I know, I know)

Listening to that clears this thread up for me. Istead of a waste of reading the whole thing, that song gave me a vision of Dane and Sam slow dancing and weeping under the stars.

Country and rock n roll come together and find common ground.

I noticed a Confederate Flag bedazzled Redneck sticker on the back of a truck this morning and it got me thinking.

What the hell is the difference between a Hillbilly and a Redneck?

Is one a cooler version of the other?

Or is it a prefer to trap game with a bare hand and a pocket knife vs. shoot them with shotguns kind of thing?

my personal philosophy on this matter would suggest that rednecks are of a more intentional variety while hillbillies are hillbillies by happenstance.

People in Eminence, MO are hillbillies. I suppose there's nothing wrong with that..our bus driver was missing a few fingers from the saw mill and most of his teeth, and could hardly speak the English language...but he seemed like a good-hearted guy..so I give him a pass.
