Free agent WR Anquan Boldin has a visit set up but with which team? MY SOURCE SAYS US

Is it us ? hmm... My source says yep ! Exciting !

The Kansas City Chiefs could use some competition at receiver which is why I noticed that Anquan Boldin is still a free agent and has a visit set up with the “mystery team” sometime soon. It was previously reported that Boldin wanted to sign somewhere around training camp time, which is coming up.

NFL receiver Anquan Boldin told me he's had conversations with a number of teams about signing & has a visit set up for Sunday.

There is no doubt the Chiefs, who ranked 3rd worst n RZ pass success & 5th worst in 3rd down pass success, sorely could use him.

At 36 Boldin is past his prime but he still put up eight touchdowns last year in Detroit. He had 1,000 yard seasons as recently as 2013 and 2014. The Chiefs have a bunch of young guys at receiver so I would be interested in adding someone like Boldin, a savvy veteran who clearly has been doing something right to stay in the league since 2003. I’m looking to replace the veteran leadership that Jeremy Maclin brought.

Over The Cap has the Chiefs with about $11 million in cap space so they could afford it. Boldin probably wants to play for a contender at this stage of his career and the Chiefs fit there. I don’t know the scheme fit here but based on Boldin’s resume I would be interested.

This is a nice video on what Boldin has left. He’s lost a step but can still contribute.

Maclin was dumped because of money and they said what they did about young WR's because what else were they gonna say? They didn't really have any other options.

I'm still not convinced KC is the 'mystery' team. I think they may just, in fact, want to roll with the young guys and call it good. But time will tell.

I wouldn't be against the Boldin signing if they can add him cheap. Wouldn't be a bad idea to add a veteran presence, not too mention his blocking and past red zone success . . . . .

Yeah, Boldin might not be what he was five years ago going down the field, but I bet he could still lay a safety or a corner right the **** out on screens and running plays. Plus, he'd be hell lined up next to Conley (Yeah, yeah, I know), Robinson and Kelce in the red zone.

I'm with Dane. Give him a 1yr 3mill/2yr 7mil type of contract, and watch Kareem Hunt rape faces on sweeps to the outside.
