Here are the rules. This will be a head to head tournament. For efficiency's sake, I will run four heats in each thread.

Therefore, I will put up four pairs of candies. For each pair, you will identify the candy that you would most like to have at the moment of voting. It doesn't necessarily have to be your favorite candy overall, just the one that sounds good right now. For visualization purposes, you may assume that you're out trick or treating (dressed as a pirate), and the woman at the door is offering you your choice of two options. You can only pick one, or if you would turn them both down, you can pick zero (not to be confused with the Zero bar).

So to summarize, you will vote for four candies in each thread, one candy per heat. And here they are!

Heat 13: Candy corn versus Necco Candy Wafers

Heat 14: Atomic Fireball versus Nutrageous

Heat 15: Mike and Ike (Tropical Flavor) versus Candy Gummy Peach-O's

Heat 16: Brach's Maple Nut Goodies versus Payday

I cannot take that there isn't more uproar about the Heat 13 and Heat 15 pairings.

This is such a travesty!

Side note: I have to retract what I said to you in the last candy thread regarding Snickers Crisper and Whatchamacallit. The texture is not nearly the same. I bought a bar of both today to compare. The crispy in the Snickers seems to be made of kernels very similar to rice krispies, meanwhile the crisp in the whatchamacallit is much more dense.

If you don't normally like snickers, you're probably not gonna like the Snickers Crisper. I enjoyed both today, but I've no problem admitting that the Whatchamacallit is way better.

Also, two candy bars is way too much sugar at 10am. That was not one of my better ideas.

If there's ever a sample of Snickers Crisper, I'd try it. But I love Whatchamacallit.

Candy corn is so lucky. If it was up against something edible it would be done.

I don't know what is wrong with you people. I had a hard time deciding between candy corn and Necco wafers. I love them both although candy corn is a seasonal only candy around here, mostly for my wife. I know Necco's are chalky but they take me back to my youth. A pack of those will last longer than a roll of Life Savers just because there are so many. And so many flavors too! You can keep the licorice ones though.

Voted:

Candy corn. At least it doesn't have the texture of chalk.
Nutrageous. I don't like very sweet and spicy things.
Peach-Os: Mike and Ike's have a bad texture to me. Plus who doesn't like Peach.
Maple Nut Goodies: It is maple, toffee, and peanuts. Anybody who voted for the lame Payday is a heathen with an obviously genetically deficient set of taste buds.
