You are right. I'm penning a letter to Clark right now voicing my outrage for a potential 12-4 record. This is unacceptable.

pffft

This is the attitude that FINALLY, after YEARS of futility, we have a GM that pretty much kicks ass, has gotten us to the playoffs in the last three of four years, won a playoff game and is a legitimate playoff team this season. Team has depth, is well coached and motivated.

Arrow pointing up with the sky as the limit. Don't see that changing any time soon.

This season? You've settled for a slap-dick offense that can't score points or answer an opponent's scoring drive on a consistent basis. And you're doing so because being "competitive" and "in the hunt" feel better than going 4-12 or 2-14.

It's a long-term outlook, cultivated by winning regular season games and a wild card game last season.

Being "competitive" and "in the hunt" are not the benchmarks to which KC should be aspiring.

And the fact is, they are no more than 2 or 3 pieces away from breaking beyond that mundane boundary which was established in the 90's as "good Chiefs football".

Chiefs need to ditch the one-read QB, get a real O-coord, and re-establish a strong running game.

Do these things, and you too can join the elite franchises who are expected, year after year, to be legitimately chasing a Lombardi.

You and I will agree on the GM. It's definitely the strongest aspect of the new order of things.

Now, cut loose the weak links and run with the big boys. Season after season.

I would rather be 2-14 and have little hope, than be a 12-4 fraud that is going nowhere . Suppose I have tasted disappointment from the Chiefs so much, I have come to expect it.

I haven't settled for shit.

I'm not happy with the offense but I can say that if we win a super bowl (which if you had been watching football you would know we have as good a chance as any this year) without our offense scoring a single point all ****ing season.

And we have legitimately been in the Lombardi chase this, and last season. And two years before that we should have won one playoff game at least.

I would say you are wrong there too.
