You completely missed the point of this movie. I am sorry you found it boring. I, on the other hand, enjoyed it immensely. This is the same thing that happened with Avatar. People were mad that the story of that masterpiece was unoriginal.

And I didn't find it boring per say, just amazingly predictable. I guessed what the end result of each character would be when they were first introduced and I was right on basically all of them.

I think the point was to go see some badass giant robots fight some badass monsters. I think the point was to suspend disbelief and be taken on a ride.
