Pretty sure this has a few preloaded tunes on it, will check if they are simple octane tunes, as that would be my guess.

Someone a few years ago here on CP recommended hitting up someone for a custom tune for my Mustang. I can't for the life of me remember what poster or the information. My Mustang is not heavily modified but it's enough he said to make paying for a tune worthwhile. Anyone have any suggestions regarding a custom tune and what does a custom tune normally cost?

My company works with tools and parts for the 3V engines like yours every day. I think I remember suggesting to you that you reach out to Brenspeed or 5Star Tuning. You can't go wrong either way and their custom tunes will really wake your car up.

I was thinking it might have been you but couldn't find any messages or posts about it.

I'm sending a message to 5star as they look a littler better than Brenspeed from reviews and website layout.

I sent them a short message about a custom tune, with a list of the car's modifications. I'm not totally sure how all this works without them seeing the car?

I'll let them know who sent me when I respond back.

Thanks for the help!

They've done so many 3 valves they can easily and safely remote tune. They can make it painless.

Dear Chevy: Jesus ****ing Christ, guys, get the hell out of your own goddamn way.

I've waited for a few months for this damn re-designed Traverse to come out. It's finally out and what do I find out? You can't get leather and a full second row. So essentially, if you have leather and 3 kids, you have to keep all seats up at all times and it has less cargo room than my goddamn Sonata does at that point.

Nicely done, assholes. All you have to do is make the captains chairs an option (or jesus, at least make a bench an option) and I'd have dropped the $50K it costs for one of those stupid soccer shuttles just because it looks good and I want to have a halfway luxurious vehicle if I'm stuck in a stupid family bus.

But no, now I'm stuck with a goddamn Atlas (which is the single most boring looking vehicle in the history of God's creation) or a Ford Explorer with a 10 year old platform because they haven't gotten around to re-designing the damn thing.

Every time I've looked at new cars I've tried desperately to buy a domestic vehicle and every goddamn time there's some stupid corner they've cut that keeps me from doing it. Sonofabitch.

What are you liking about the new style? My buddy drove a new one and said it is quite a bit narrower and a lot less cargo space. He bought one that has the old styling. I can't remember what model it is for the life of me, but he dropped the 50 on one that looks like the old one.

EDIT: Shit - his is an Acadia.

I recently bought the wife a 15 Traverse with 40K on it for 27. It's really clean so I pulled the trigger on it. Especially after what my buddy told me. I'm not the guy that buys new shit. I don't even buy new sprayers and those make me money.

We have a Mazda CX9 we bought earlier this year.

It's got a third row and we have leather. Not sure how the room of the third row in the Traverse is, as ours isn't super roomy but good enough for children or short people.

Right, that's the Acadia that they shrunk; annoys the shit out of me that they did that as well because it's very nice looking.

The older Traverse is a mini-van; full stop. The new one looks damn nice though.

GM just stepped on their dick in every conceviable fashion here. Don't shrink the Acadia - I'd have bought it. Put a simple 2nd row ****ing bench option in the Traverse and I'd have bought one. And on either of them I'd have bought your stupid full boat 'profit center' model with every bell and whistle because I'm stupid but want things that feel soft.

But don't have your !@#$ing salesman say "well we can get you a nice deal on a Tahoe" because you ****ed up and tried to cut corners during production. If I wanted a Tahoe I'd have bought one of them in the last 7 years because that's how long you've flogged this same platform; the Tahoe is a dinosaur. It's an outdated husk of a behemoth that I don't feel like driving but because they didn't want to take sales from one of their platforms to another, they deliberately ensured that this vehicle could not be optioned the same way as the Tahoe could.

In short - **** 'em. I've tried to buy GM several times now and I'm just done with these goddamn clowns.

Not enough cargo space behind the 2nd row. 3 kids, 3 labs.

I'm stuck with the Atlas, is the long and short of it. Or the Explorer. I could try to wait until the new Ascent comes out from Subaru; it's a sexy looking beast and Subaru is destroying in market share right now (showing growth across every segment) but those twins are coming and I don't expect the Ascent gets here before they do. Or I could hope that Ford gets the new Explorer out soon but that also seems unlikely.

May just trade my sedan in for an older SUV that I can putz around in for a year until I trade it out for something that comes along in the fall of '18. Again - **** you Chevy. Just **** you right in the face.

Yeah, Traverse is a minivan.

Wife said when we bought it that it looked more like a minivan than she thought it would. I told her, "guess what. We're old. We have a couple kids. We need a minivan."

Well, the 15 we bought isn't as horrible as some of the other ones I've seen. I'll see if I can grab a picture sometime. The only one I have has my ugly mug in it.

I looked up the 18 and it looks a lot less minivanish, but I can't say it thrills me.

"Thrill" got nothing to do with it at this point.

All I'm looking for is the least ugly, most interesting of a bad lot of faceless crossovers. None of them look worth a damn. They're all overpriced because the market is insane on them. Meanwhile I could get a !@#$ing Charger hellcat for $14K under sticker because God hates parents.

But the Traverse is the least ugly, at least until the Ascent comes out. All the rest of them are minivans (Pilot), bricks (Explorer and Atlas) or designed by assholes that think nobody wants leather and a middle bench (Highlander). Or they're just riding around on an old platform and last gen tech (4-runner...Ugh, I wish Toyota would spend a little money refreshing that thing; love 'em).

The Volvo is too nice and too expensive to bother with now that it's just going to be covered in vomit for the next 18 months. And a lease until the new '19 explorer and ascent comes out doesn't get me around the whole 'eat shit on the first year value loss' thing; a 1 yr lease might as well be setting money on fire.

So I'll just push it as long as I can and see if I can fit some narrow-ass car seats in a Sonata. Or put the convertable in the front and turn the airbag off. If my vehicle is hauling children, it's just to daycare and back.

The Traverse is a big pile of monkey shit. Ours was a poorly designed lemon. We had oil leaking in our driveway. The dealer asked if we had recently had the oil changed. He said that explains it. The stupid frame rails are right under the oil drain plug and the oil collects there. He said if they don't mop it all up it drips everywhere. He said it's a total asspain to clean it up and they never get it all. Nice design dicks. Then there was a recall on the rotors for the Acadia. We had an issue with ours. Except no recall on Traverse rotors. Same ****ing car! **** you GM. Last straw was leaky defective steering rack. Not covered under warranty. How the **** does a steering rack go bad at 22,000 miles? I'll tell you, shit design and crappy workmanship. When the dealer listens to you complain and just nods his head and says "yup", you know your car is a piece of shit. Thank God it's gone. Feel sorry for the ****ers who have it now, although I'm sure it's been crushed by now.

I dont know of any vehicle that would be out of warranty at 22k miles. Unless it's over 6 years old
