Geno Smith vs Alex Smith - It's on.

It's on now. Geno Smith is probably going to be starting for the Jets this season.

Alex Smith will be the Chiefs QB for the forseeable future. If he's a success, we'll probably get five good years out of him.

So who's gonna win more NFL games over that time period?

Put your ten pounders on the table and make a vote

Alex: 11 wins
Geno: 8 wins

There's not a whole lot of difference between qbs 5-15 to 18 in te league. One might offer a different skillet, but that's abou it

I'll say this much.. Schaub has been very inconsistent lately. Some games, he plays well... others, he craps up pretty badly. Very few QBs are consistently good anyway though.

I saw him throw a deep ball yesterday, where he looked like Matt Cassel, and I saw him take a sack very much like Alex Smith. I was like WOW.

oh yeah, man... people watch THEIR quarterback do something stupid every game and then act like no one else's QB would ever do something so shitty...

Yeah... right.

I think the above link agrees with you. But when you're talking about a game of inches, sometimes a small margin makes a big difference.

Thank God we have Alex Smith. Why, if it weren't for his toughness and leadership, we might still have Matt Cassel with his toughness and leadership.

That throwing the ball about, elusiveness in the pocket, and making multiple reads is just a bunch of hornswaggle, I say!

Alex Smith was fairly elusive in the pocket against Pittsburgh (like the 38 yard scramble). He also threw the ball around quite a bit. You didn't notice because your mind is closed tight.

Yep. Alex has been pretty elusive. Too often in SF, he would evade one rush (free or failed block) and start to run in another direction, but yet another failed block would occur to bring him down.

Beg to differ.

Small difference between Eli or Flacco and Cutler or Romo?

Alex is physically mobile. It is the regular freeze ups/run into sacks that is the issue. If he threw the ball away more often instead of taking the designated sack, he would kill less drives. But he is no statue back there. He is still pretty young and fairly mobile when he goes. It is just the lack of consistent decisiveness.

Honestly, no.

Situation and system are different, but all things being equal, no I don't think there is a whole lot of dig.

Put romo on some of those raven teams, he'd have a lot of success as well.

Question:

Romo QBs the Ravens in the last super bowl vs the 49ers.

Does he win it?
