That should be Alex Smith's last game on the Chiefs.
The rest of the season doesn't matter. Cut Hali and DJ, move on and start fielding offers for Alex Smith. This game leaves a positive image of Alex Smith for the rest of the league. You can spin it as the team gave up but Alex is still good while you're talking trade for him.

Probably fire Sutton too and give an interim guy a look.

Alex was good today, but there really is no reason to leave him out there. His trade stock jumped up a little today, and we aren't making the playoffs.

Exactly, this gave the value for Alex Smith a bump today. No reason to send him out there anymore.
