Reid says Chiefs had headset issues vs Patriots

[URL="http://www.sportsnet.ca/football/nfl/reid-says-chiefs-had-headset-issues-vs-patriots/[/URL]

ASSOCIATED PRESS
JANUARY 17, 2016, 2:16 PM
KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Chiefs coach Andy Reid says his team experienced problems with their headsets during Saturday’s playoff loss in New England, though they worked fine in the crucial final minutes of the game.

Reid said the problem occurred in the first half between the coaching staff and the radio in quarterback Alex Smith’s helmet.

But Reid said they cut out "just a little bit, not much," and did not think that they were anything out of the ordinary.

It’s not the first time that headsets had trouble at Gillette Stadium.

In the regular-season opener, Pittsburgh complained the coaches' headsets were filled with the Patriots' radio broadcast of the game. Steelers coach Mike Tomlin later said his coaches have had problems with headsets every time they play at New England.

The Patriots beat the Chiefs 27-20 on Saturday.

I wonder if teams could bring their own setup and bypass the stadium's setup ? If not I would chance cheating them back by bringing in my own setup that looks exactly like what the NFL requires but it actually is rigged up with our own equipment. Don't know if that is possible to bluff and create a dummy setup but it is absolutely ridiculous to hear the majority of teams complain every time they go to Gillete. There is a pattern here.

You do know who's responsible for the headsets right? Yeah, the NFL.
Do you know the Patriots experience that problem in their stadium too. BB said it happens weekly.

Quote:
Michael Signora, the league's vice president of football communications, said. "Technological and stadium infrastructure issues of this type happen at many stadiums around the league and whenever there are issues of this nature, we do a thorough review."

Signora said Thursday night that the interference in coaches' headsets was caused by a stadium power infrastructure issue in Foxborough.

I know you want to remain willfully ignorant about two other things you listed, as it would upset the standard narrative—that your team lost not because of skill but because they were cheated. You actually think this is still going on after all that's happened? They're not that stupid ya' know.

Too bad they didn't cut out on the Chiefs last drive. Probably would have moved faster.

That was the most pathetic 2 minute drive I've ever witnessed and Andy should be water boarded for it.

No one rushing to the line to get ready for the next play.
No plays ahead of time to Alex for a hurry up.
No rush in getting the play to alex.
Players with a chance to get out of bounds but don't and only gain 1 or 2 extra yards.

5 minutes spent on a 2 minute drill.

And IIRC not a single TO was used while all this clock was bleeding away.

On top of wasting all that time when the plays finally came in they required motion because, **** the score and time on the clock, this $3it needs to look pretty.

Thats not on the players, or Dorsey, or Clark's wallet. That's on the coaches for allowing such a disorganized monkey-**** situation to occur.

This is not the first time we've ****ed it up but it was by far the worst I've ever seen. That $3it made Herm Edwards look like ****ing Vince Lombardi...

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

Andy Reid had time management problems when he coached the Eagles. I don't see how he couldn't have motioned to Alex Smith to spike the ball to stop the clock when the offense got up to the 2 yard line. Unfortunately, there still weren't enough missed calls in favor of the Pats to where the Chiefs might have still made a comeback. Most failed onside kicks result in the receiving team winning the game.

The fumble was a bad call but bad calls happen. To everyone. You have to overcome them.

That 4th quarter was a ****ing abortion and reminded me of the first 6 weeks of the year.

Complete pants-shitting with the season on the line...

It's a crock and a shame for the Chiefs to snap their 22 year streak of no playoff wins by shutting down the Texans, and then go back to square one in losing in the playoffs a week later.
