Alex Smith Appreciation Thread

The wide receivers are garbage, the line sucks and yet he still somehow manages to march this pile of crap up and down the field.

AND TO ANYONE WHO THINKS HE IS A PROBLEM - YOU'RE AND IDIOT!

I thought Pioli executed that interview w/ Manning well - he really landed that one.

Considering he did almost get him here; I propose a Scott Pioli Appreciation Thread. Coming up just short is good enough for me.

i'm going to suggest some basic minimums for praising our QB...i know these are harsh and make me an asshole...but you only have to pick one:

1. we win
2. the QB throws more tds than ints, even if a loss
3. the QB is no longer the lowest rated QB in the league

yes, probably crazy to expect more for only $45 mill guaranteed but I'm old school

But I fear I won't be able to clap for short-comings if we implement this methodology.

I don't know that I like it. Can we at least amend #1 to we win/only lose by 3 points or less?

I think this thread is a great idea. There are many people who appreciate Alex Smith. Last week it was Titans fans, yesterday it was Broncos fans, next week it will be Dolphins fans, and then Patriots fans. It is nice that they have a place to come and say thank you.

Remember, it does not matter if you win or lose, all that matters is that Hunt makes money.

You have to admit - when Smith runs - he is a great sliding QB.

He is undoubtedly a very capable runner and slider. No argument from me.
