Food and Drink Best cold dip ideas? - Page 5

Ok for some odd reason I have an itch to make a cold dip of some kind but am at a loss for what to make...

Thinking of a cold pizza dip or going the other direction and maybe something very light like a diced cucumber/feta with a vinaigrette base.

Just tossing ideas around now, if anyone has something really unique or ideas for how I should make either of these... let me know... otherwise I'll try to come up with a recipe of my own and you guys can tell me where I am going wrong...

Oh-the pepperoni flavor is getting stronger over time. It has a very nice combo pizza vibe to it.

I make this stuff for parties sometimes... It's a bit of effort to put together but it crushes it every time. Grilled corn, creme fraiche, green onions, and a bunch of other yummy stuff. Sour cream will work in place of the creme fresca, but get the real shit if you can find it. Best place to get it in salt lake is whole foods.

We make the Famous Dave's knockoff bleu cheese dressing for wings, but it makes so much, we have loads leftover.

Throw some Frank's RedHot in that shit and dip Tostitos mini tortilla chips in it.

We do that with red pepper. Not sure what you dip, but we use the big Fritos Scoops Corn Chips.

It's the next day and the dip is completely done. I should say was completely done. We wolfed that shit down like it was manna from Heaven. I am going to say go ahead and double the amount of pizza sauce and omit the Greek yogurt or use a sturdy object to dip with. It was quite thick at fridge temp.

We make a buffalo chicken dip with that shitty shredded chicken from a can but it comes out really awesome when mixed with the other stuff in a dip. People love it at parties.

It's been said in this thread, but I make a corn dip for tailgating that is a hit. Mayo, sour cream, canned mexi-corn, chopped olives, green onion, shredded cheddar cheese, spices to your liking. I add a little cayenne, salt and pepper.

Fritos large scoop chips to eat it with. It's a fatty food and you feel like a glutton shoving this mayo/corn abortion into your face, but it's still delicious.

Buy the pita chips (or whatever you plan to use) ahead of time because you are going to wolf this shit down. I am trying to remember the name of these chips I had gotten that looked like little pieces of rye bread. Very crispy and sturdy with a lot of crunch. I think those would be perfect.
