Exactly. If you ignore all the good players he drafted, he's terrible at drafting. The Super Bowl map, for example.

I suppose by "suspicious means" you are referring to convincing players to come to Denver because of Denver's tradition of excellence, favorable living conditions, and other unfair methods.

Okay. Build your offense around Ronnie Hillman and that center next year. They're the crown jewels in Elway's offense.

He's focused on defense mostly. And it kind of worked so far.

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

Otherwise, no.
Part of a team's makeup is the coaching, and I would take Phillips over Sutton in a big game, every day.

I don't suppose you have ever heard of Ray Lewis.

I'm not bitter like that to where it should've been us, I think Peyton was winning a ring no matter what, you can read into that how you'd like.

I'm not pissed that the Broncos won the Super Bowl, I'm pissed because Peyton Manning won a Super Bowl. It's a similar feeling to when Trent Dilfer won a Super Bowl. People say deserve has got nothing to do with it, I say bullshit. I hate Super Bowls like this because you could see it coming, you didn't want to see it coming, but as soon as they ruled a NFL catch as a no catch, you saw how the night was going to go.

Hats off to Denver's defense, but Denver's offense doesn't deserve jack shit and let's not pretend that punt return was stellar considering half the Panthers team gave up trying to tackle him so he could scamper away. If anyone deserves a ring it's Denver's defense, as much as they're cheap shotting bitches who try to take QB's out when they slide and somehow get around flags when they go helmet to helmet quite frequently, but give them rings, Wade Phillips a ring, and Lady Gaga a ring. Lady Gaga was the only other person besides the Donk's defense that came to play last night.

It's also very similar to when the Patriots won their first Super Bowl against the high powered Rams that couldn't be stopped. It's not exciting when David beats Goliath anymore, when Holly Holm beat Ronda Rousey nobody gives a shit about Holm, people want to know when Rousey is going to fight again to get her title back. When Tom Brady won his first it felt hollow, and last night when Peyton just lucked into the best defense he's ever seen playing for him, it felt hollow.

I would've loved to see the Chiefs and Broncos in the AFC Championship game, I know we would've fought alot more than Tom ****ing Brady, but that's not how things went down unfortunately. I'm not going to say that we would've been hoisting the trophy either, given what I believe about the NFL, and it was just reinforced a tad last night, they probably would've gotten Cam his first Super Bowl trophy.

I'm not to the point where I think it should have been us either. Several people I watched the game with were wondering how much Cam made for throwing the game. Dude was acting like he was totally winded by the end of the first half, and he basically wasn't even present during the second half.

I would have a hard time imagining Drew Brees participating in under-the-table payments. He seems like a standup guy. But I once thought that about Manning, too, so I guess anything is possible.
Ignorance. Eight of the eleven starters on defense were either draft picks or UDFAs. The offense had a few more free agents but some of that had to do with injuries.
