Raiders signing Aldon Smith, Reggie Nelson visiting Oakland

Raiders and Aldon Smith have agreement in place, source told ESPN. Smith was spotted at team building today, trying to finalize deal. - @AdamSchefter

And Bengals free-agent safety Reggie Nelson headed to visit/meet with Oakland later today/tomorrow, per source. - @AdamSchefter

All this paper stuff is meaningless.. even as bad as Oakland has been- they always seem to find a way to beat the Chiefs- The last 5 years the head to head matchup is even at 6 wins a piece- Just saying-
I could definitely see Oakland beating us once this year, even though Reid is 5-1 against them. When I look at our schedule I actually project one loss to Oakland. It's too early to play realistic guessing games but I find that when you look at a schedule and circle 'wins' or 'losses', usually the teams will find a way to win a couple you didn't expect and lose a couple they should have won, etc. Therefore the records come out to be right about what is expected. I called 11-5 for KC last year, though it didn't go like I thought it would. This year I think...

Home:
W vs. Denver
W vs. Oakland
W vs. SD
W vs. Tampa Bay
W vs. New Orleans
W vs. Jacksonville
W vs. Tennessee
W vs. NYJ

I have us undefeated at home but yes, I know it's not probable. This is where we lose one or two we shouldn't.

Road..
L @ Denver
L @ Oakland
W @ San Diego
L @ Carolina
W @ Atlanta
W @ Indianapolis
W @ Houston
L @ Pittsburgh

That's 12-4, but I can see any of these games going the other way of course. Just hoping no teams in our division suffer any other devastating injuries, the West could be as good as it's been in many years.

C'mon man. Every one knows Tamba Bay is 2 hours or so west of Tony Orlando.

You are either getting better or getting worse. The Faiders are getting better. We kept most of our guys, added some depth and will be healthy but that doesn't mean we got better. Denver is still loaded at least for one more year and as nuts as it sounds got better at QB with Manning finally leaving.

I am telling you now don't be surprised if we get rated at 3 in our division by the media even though we shouldn't. When you look at off season moves ours have not blown anyone away. I like what we've done but we won't get any respect. This division is going to be rough.
Who gives a shit if the media doesn't give any respect?

Thats an honest non homer take.. props to you- Oakland did beat Denver in Mile High last year... thats a whole new team coming into their second year under Ken Norton Jr etc- They may have a top 3 OL this year in picking up Osemele- They looked real good when they had Aldon Smith in there opposite Mack- I really like that young offense they have.. They could us a quality backup running back.. But I'mma guess they go the first 2 rd's defense- DT/SS.. and when Aldon comes back in Novemebr down the stretch.. I'm just saying... They got a good solid young nucleus in Oakland- Don't be surprised to see that team compete for the AFCW this year
