Mock (Dec. 6)

Assumptions:

1. The Chiefs finish 2015 at 10-6 and secure the #5 seed due to the tie-breaker they have over the Steelers. The Chiefs visit Indianapolis and escape with a 20-17 victory. The Chiefs go to Cincinnati and shutdown Andy Dalton, winning 29-18. The Chiefs surprise the world by going to the AFCCG, visiting Tom Brady and New England, who are able to slow down Alex Smith just enough to make a return trip to the Super Bowl, 24-9. The front office and coaching staff is fully retained, and Alex Smith has another year before replacement options are considered.

2. The Chiefs re-sign OT/G Jeff Allen 3 years, $15m ($3m guaranteed), DL Jaye Howard 4 years, $33m ($18m guaranteed), ILB Derrick Johnson 3 years, $10m ($1m guaranteed), CB Sean Smith 3 years, $40m ($12m guaranteed), S Eric Berry 4 years, $42m ($10m guaranteed).

3. The Chiefs cut OG Paul Fanaika.

4. The Chiefs let walk QB Chase Daniel, WR Jason Avant, OT Donald Stephenson, DE Mike DeVito, OLB Frank Zombo, OLB Dezmon Moses, CB Jamell Fleming, CB Marcus Cooper, S Husain Abdullah, S Tyvon Branch, S Daniel Sorensen

5. The Chiefs tender: RB Charcandrick West (5th rounder), DE Nick Williams (5th rounder)

6. The Chiefs sign OT Jah Reid to a minimal deal.

7. The Chiefs pick about #28 in each round (plus an additional 5th for Kelcie McCray). No compensatory choices.

8. The Chiefs sign S Chris Banjo (Packers) to a 1 year, $2m deal.

9. The Draft:

1. WR Michael Thomas, Ohio State
2. SS Von Bell, Ohio State
3. OLB Joshua Perry, Ohio State
4. QB Cardale Jones, Ohio State
5. CB Brandon Facyson, Auburn
5. OT/G Spencer Drango, Baylor
6. NT Tyrique Jarrett, Pittsburgh

Gotta lay off the late night crack smoking bud.

Don't think Bell will be there at pick 60; he's a prototype NFL FS with the production to boot. Bell could very well go round 1. Four Ohio State players? Jesus man. I'm an OSU fan and I wouldn't even think about it. Although I like the first 3. I don't care for Cardale.

Von Bell would be an absolute steal. I bet he goes closer to 28 than 60.

That being said, I think this draft otherwise lacks playmakers. If you're just looking for reliable guys who will do their job then mission accomplished I guess.
