Best Tablet/Laptop combo battery life

I need to find out the best tablet that doubles as a laptop, you know the kind you can use as either or, that has the longest battery life out there. I have the original Surface and I absolutely love it. I need it to have Windows 8+ so I can run real desktop based programs. The problem with my surface is it dies after about an hour and 20 minutes, used to last maybe 2 hours if I was lucky. Want something that can really go the distance, maybe like 5-6 hrs or even better if it's not too expensive.

Not looking to spend over $550ish.

There's not a lot that will fill those expectations. Closest you'll find is the Surface Pro 3. But you won't find it for under $550.

Here's a cheapy HP. But I really hate HP.

It might be cheaper to buy a couple of those portable battery backup/chargers for your tablet.
