I didn't question why Stark had all his tech in this movie. He's a genius. He built all of that shit in the first place. It isn't out of the realm of possibility that he'd just build it all over again.

Yes, but they gave him no reasoning for re-building it all back.

They didnt follow through on the end of that story arc. They just ignored major events from the end of IM3.

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

It's a total 180 from IM3 to his motivations in A2 and it really doesn't make sense.

He goes straight from "**** this technology" to "I can use my tech to save the world."

I think that's the biggest flaw in the film for me. The only thing I can think of that might have made him change his mind would be Stark and Banner's conversation about why Banner has to look over his shoulder...

At the end of Cap 3, Fury went underground and SHIELD was destroyed. Then he just shows up in a multi-billion dollar heli-carrier to save the day? How did he get the tech and feel the need to go public again??

Admittedly, i havent watched Agents of Shield this season so i might have missed some plot points.
As someone who pretends like Iron Man 3 doesn't exist, I didn't care too much about that change.

The heli-carrier was definitely on the deus ex machina side of things, but I figured Nick Fury wouldn't have stayed low on a crisis like this for too long.

And I was also really impressed with the Vision.

The way he was used, not looking like total $#it on the big screen, and the balance of his human/machine character and morality.

If I were to remove something to spend more time on something else it would be:
Spoiler!

That may pay dividends during the Black Panther. Time will tell.

That, and its a solution to get around the actors 'contract' situation.

Well, it really didn't. Or at least I didn't catch any hint of it.

And it still could have been done differently.

Besides:

Spoiler!

I'm sure it will, but instead of it being included in A2 it would have been better included in Panther...

Please spoiler.

And that's my point. That's why I don't understand the "setting up of CW" comment.

If anything the end set up Cap's team.

Wait, wasn't Vision dead before CW as well?...
