It feels like the Chiefs will get the Rams 3rd round pick this year, their 2nd round pick next year and maybe some other picks.

I just cannot believe the market for an all-pro 25-year old CB would be bad enough to not garner at least a 2nd round pick. Sure, he might have big attitude problems but we are not talking about a guy who has had several off the field problems with the law. I mean the Rams traded Sammy Watkins for a 2nd round pick. Are you gonna tell be Watkins, now a free agent, was worth more than Peters?

The fact the Chiefs at one point were aiming for Robert Quinn and a pick makes me think they did think Peters had value.

For some reason, it just feels like the Chiefs are not getting a 1st round pick as few teams appeared to be interested really from what was said.

Maybe the Rams 1st round pick next year. Maybe, after all they are probably thinking they will have a really low pick next year.

There was no market. No team would trade for a player on year 4 of his rookie deal unless they believed the player would reup. Peters would only do that for a west coast team. The market was very limited.

The Rams were expected to go CB at #23. I’d bet we get their 1st and take one of the CB’s they were after

Currently without a second-round pick, expect the Rams to be a prime candidate to trade down from this pick in hopes of recouping some Day 2 resources. In this scenario, however, their need for a young corner to replace the likely-departing Trumaine Johnson, and the value of a talented cover man like Oliver makes too much sense to move down.

Oliver is a really solid player, boasting good size and speed for the position. He’s precisely what the Rams are looking for at cornerback, standing at 6-1, likely with sub-4.5 speed. He could step in right away in the event that Trumaine Johnson leaves in free agency, starting alongside Kayvon Webster when he returns from injury.
