Its hard to explain why I hate that commercial so much, it seems somehow... condescending? As in looking at females in general and going "awwww, wouldn't it be so neat if that happened, you go girl!" Come on now, thats F'ing ridiculous. Hey if it happens someday, great. I'd be shocked and would fully support it, but I'm not expecting it at all, it just seems so dumb and over the top PC to me.

Last game, I noticed that commercial aired three times. I was only half-watching the game, so it could have been more.

I don't see every game, but I watch most of most of the games. If that ad airs three times a game, a fairly loyal watcher such as myself may end up seeing that ad 400 times this season. For that torture alone, we deserve a post-season slot.

That awful commercial does have a redeeming quality though, they have an aging black midget as the hitter, so if the first female pitcher does happen to make it into the majors it will be after the apocalypse where only a few people are still alive and the best players that are left are women and bill cosby lookalike midgets in their 60's
