Congratulations to the Cubbies

108 years....man, that's some time in the desert.

I have a couple friends who are life long, legit, die hard Cub fans. I'm very happy for them. And if I have to pass my baseball crown to somebody else, nobody has been more deserving or patient than Cub fans.

So congratulations to the Cub Fans. For the first time in your life, you get to enjoy the satisfaction of being emotionally tied to a World Champion team. No better feeling in the world.

The parade is going to be insane!

I grew up watching Bozo the clown. Would be creepy today watching it but as a kid I liked it.

Also I enjoyed watching the Cubs with Ryne Sandburg he was a hell of a player and Harry Carry made the game not boring with his excitement. However other than that I love the Royals so do not care that the Cubs won it but if I look back I guess I could say bout damn time for them.

Now if only the Chiefs could rid themselves of the Todd Blackledge curse and draft a quarterback that could go win us a Super Bowl however I'd be happier if we could win it this year with who we got. I'm just not holding my breath.

No he did not. He did what 20 other fans were doing reaching for a foul ball and that had nothing to do with the Cubs losing, they had plenty of blunders on themselves to blame for their loss that day and other series sense.

That would be me. I watched a lot of Cubs games on WGN at the time in the late 80's and early 90's. Harry Caray, Steve Stone, Sandberg, Grace, Dawson, Dunston, etc.

Only thing that concerns me is the tying run was 180 feet away... I feel like we've been there before, and hope the tribe doesn't come back next season as hungry as the Royals did in 2015.

Other than that, I'm happy for Cubs fans, and it does make it better that STL fans are miserable because of it.

Not as much as you think. MANY are happy they ended the drought and were pulling for them. Speak to what ya know. This was a special series and definitely something a notch or two above previous WS.

Hearing and seeing so much stuff about Harry Carey. I understand how he is hugely associated with the Cubs, more so than any other team, but I always find that interesting for the guy was born in St. Louis... Spent 25 years calling games in St. Louis, 1 year in Oakland, 11 years for the Sox and 16 years for the Cubs....

Bet he was a Cards fan for most of his life...
