If we lose to Denver, Carolina and Indy...

It will be the first time in franchise history that we go winless at home.

http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/page/...hefter-10-spot

Quote:
A quarterback drafted by Kansas City hasn't started and won a game for the Chiefs in more than 25 years. Kansas City must now face three quarterbacks drafted No. 1 overall in an attempt to avoid going winless at home for the season for the first time in franchise history.

The Chiefs have lost six straight home games dating to last season and are 0-5 at home this season. Kansas City's next home game will be Sunday against Manning and the Broncos, followed by a Dec. 2 matchup versus former No. 1 overall pick Cam Newton and the Panthers, and then a Dec. 23 meeting versus former No. 1 overall pick Andrew Luck and the Colts.

These are dreary times in Kansas City, where the Chiefs are 1-9 and tied with the 1987 and 2008 teams for the worst start in franchise history. The last time the Chiefs were this bad they fired Herm Edwards after the season and replaced him with general manager Scott Pioli and head coach Todd Haley. Now the fans in Kansas City are clamoring for more change, and owner Clark Hunt is said to be "evaluating" his entire operation.
That last sentence is intriguing.

Us being in the playoffs next year counts on a few things:

1. Rookie QB being a stud.

2. New HC being a badass.

3. San Diego and Oakland sucking.

4. 3 of the 4 NFC East teams being beatable.

If we can pick up 4 division wins and 2 NFC East wins we might get in.

Our offense would instantly look exponentially better if we had a QB who could play-action pass effectively.

Yes, but the Colts still have some holdover talent from previous years as well. Freeney, Mathis, Wayne, Saturday, and so on. We have some that need to move on, but have several huge pieces in place that would make it easy for someone like Smith to come in and turn this thing around very quickly.

Speaking of this, I haven't been able to find the list of opponents for future seasons. Used to be on the Chiefs website.

Got a link?

Clark has got to be epic level pissed about right now.

This shit is his legacy. His Dad was responsible for the existence of the NFL in it's current state, is enshrined in the Hall of Fame and his name's on the ****ing AFC championship trophy.

The fans are close to rioting, flying banners over his stadium and are showing up for the game with bags on their heads and dressed in mourning.

I would be Chernobyl meltdown level pissed if I was Clark.

The purge is coming.

Freeney has 6 tackles and 1 sack this year.

Mathis has less than 20 tackles and 6 sacks.

Saturday is playing for Green Bay.

I don't want him to "evaluate."

I want him to understand the problem, have a clear solution, and be aggressive in implementing it...

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

You're right, Mr. DeezNutz. That one, single capability could and probably would move the hell out of the chains. It's crazy to even think about.

It's simply incredible that we don't have a quarterback who can run the play-action. You either want to laugh or cry.

Forgot about Saturday moving on. My bad.

Freeney and Mathis may be getting past their primes, but still are probably good to have on the team to help with a young QB to learn the ropes of the NFL.

Same with Wayne. Hell, most here said they wouldn't touch Wayne with a 10 foot pole when he was a FA this past offseason. He has been great for Luck.

While I may be off on some of the particulars, I think the point I was trying to make fits.

There is absolutely no question based on the stripping of Pioli's power, CBS talking about the blackout and the Star article that mentions the Hunts growing concern over fan resentment.

Pioli is deader than a ****ing fried chicken.

Not really.

The Colts had next to nothing and lost some of their best players.

The fact they're even competitive in games is amazing...

Charles might have two more years left of high-level production, so I'd like to see a talented n00b in here next season, with designs to try to make a strong run at things in '14, likely giving Charles the '06 LJ treatment in the process.

That's a good thing.

I've been 100 percent right about this team since Orton was not re-signed and Romeo was.
