I think the best of this is yet to come. They are saving the good stuff. The shots when Pioli starts to squirm in his chair.
We saw those in the preview, but didn't hear audio. We didn't see any of that revealed tonight. This is going to be a slow burn.

Pioli is definitely a ****ing fraud, but i dont think thats what he meant. Its a ****ing no brainer to be cautiously optimistic about anything you do even if you think something is going to take off.
Like i said, he's pretty much admitted that he sucks right now when Len asked him to evaluate himself. He said well im 1-7 and that means your are complee crap in the NFL. |

The more he goes in front of the press to talk, the worse he comes off. HE SUCKS!
He still has "full faith" in Romeo. HAHAHA "I see how hard these guys work in practice" HAHAHAHA Total softball bullshit as always. IF Pioli and Crennel are back next year and somehow KC passes on drafting a #1 QB, any one of you who buys a season ticket are complete buffoons! I don't want to hear some BS about all the years and hard to give up, it is a complete waste of money-just send it to me and I'll give you a better show each Sunday.

Where is the question about QB competition?
"Scott, you promised to bring true competition to the QB position this year in order to up the level of play at that position. Kyle Orton left to be a backup for the Dallas Cowboys and you signed Brady Quinn who has not started for approximately 3 years. How can you possibly call that true QB competition?"

I will NEVER understand how the hell you let Orton go and then go get Brady Quinn. Make no mistake, Orton isn't the greatest QB in the league, but he's a hell of a lot better than Cassel or Quinn. This team is HISTORICALLY bad. And it starts with the QB. If I were Bowe or Charles or Houston or any player with talent I would be begging my agent to get me the hell out of town. Pioli has spoonfed this shit to us for 4 years and we have regressed EVERY SINGLE YEAR and he is STILL too egotistical to even admit his failure to address the QB or any serious competition. fuck him. |

The KC media are afraid of the Chiefs PR Machine because the Chiefs are vindictive. If you criticize them, make them look bad, ask embarrassing questions, they limit your access. KK and WHB lightened up when they landed the "Official" post game show. Now Mitch the Mouthpiece comes on KKs show once a week and spews the company line. 610 hammers the Chiefs because they have nothing to lose. If they win better access, they'll lighten up. Dawson is an employee of the Chiefs. He's going to go easy on them. Channel 5 goes easy on them because CBS carries all the AFC games. Jack Harry hammers on them because he's old and doesn't give a **** anymore.
Remember when Pioli got hired? He said the head coach would do all the media stuff. Haley HATED doing media. He wasn't very good at it. Romeo is worse. Romeo comes off like Grandpa Simpson in press conferences. So now Pioli is having to show up in the middle of a 1-7 nightmare season, and "do interviews" to spin the party line. It's a PR nightmare for the Chiefs spin doctors. But you know what? The Chiefs will still make millions and millions of dollars this year. CHunt just watches his bank balance. As long as he has a beauty queen in his bed and nine zeros in his bank account, he's really not all that worried about how his team is doing. Besides, he has the MLS to take his mind off it. Football is for gearheads, beer guzzlers, rednecks and hillbillies. Soccer is an international sport for cultured people. And it's all about entertainment. Entertainment can be comedy or tragedy. As long as it's extreme, it's entertaining. Why do you think soap operas have been on TV for 50 years? |

Several reporters said the Todd Haley behind the microphone at KC press events was completely different than the Todd Haley they would speak with off the record. I'm not sure Haley hated doing the media, but he certainly hated doing it the way Pioli wanted it done.

Scott, regardless of how hard people work, you have to see the results on Sunday. After 4 seasons as the teams quarterback, it is obvious that Cassel has not gotten the job done. Even if you say that the 2010 season was a good one, he still had a horrible game when the Ravens dispatched the Chiefs in the first round of the playoffs at Arrowhead. Any regrets about signing him to such a long contract without having seen him play for the Chiefs?

The piece(s) that aired last night left a lot of questions unanswered. I think we were all hoping for Lenny to bring some heat, but the way it aired made that impossible. I did notice that Lenny seemed to be pretty straight on and wasn't buying a lot of what Pioli was saying. I don't understand why that aired last night when the rest won't air until before the game next week.

"Expectations should be higher than what they've been in the past. I mean, it's only right," Pioli said Tuesday. "We're in our fourth season in this program. We've done a lot of work to retain very good players in Derrick Johnsons and Tamba Halis to Jamaal Charles and some other players, but we've also added some other good players. I feel we have a really good coaching staff intact. Expectations should be high.

All I can think of is that he had ZERO confidence in Romeo the day he was hired.
So he's not lying when he still has the same level of confidence in Romeo now. Either that or he's not commenting AT ALL on whether or not he has confidence in Romeo, the HEAD COACH. I mean, I'm sure he's still supremely confident that Romeo will stick his tail between his legs and do whatever Pioli tells him to do. |
