What's your guys opinion on him? I think he is a far drop off from Alex Smith and kinda scared me when he came into the game.. that one pass was at the feet of the WR.. Jeesh.. I hope Smith doesn't get hurt!

Salary Cap drain. I'd rather play Bray or another QB if we pick one in the upcoming draft to give them some live real game experience than Daniel, because he's not going to be winning any games for us, and if we are looking at a sunk cost it might as well be in evaluation of a possible future QB getting those reps.

I was honestly a bit perplexed by the fact that they decided to bring him in, and it wouldn't have been that big of a deal that they had except for the fact that his salary is way too high in comparison to his talent level. When we're already hovering around the max and going to need cap space, he is a handcuff in keeping, resigning our own players, as well as looking at FA we might like to bring in.
