Yes, not only was it intentional, but the entirety of the torque for the throw came from his grip on the face mask. Every aspect of that play was Talib's purposeful effort to do something illegal, and its illegality is for safety concerns, not competitive fairness.

I was screaming for him to be ejected after that. No ****ing shit it was intentional. Anyone with half a brain can see that.

As much as I hate how often the Broncos take PF penalties trying to hurt guys, it certainly has been effective this year. Sometimes it seems like the way to win in this league is by walking the line.
Perhaps the Chiefs are just too nice. |

It's easy to say that after one game, but I'm not sure the Bengals agree.

Sure, but how many times has Von Miller taken cheap shots at QB's this year? He's gotten plenty of penalties called on him, but it's certainly been an effective technique at getting guys off their game.

talib is a piss poor tackler he didn't want want to get ran over to EZ with everyone watching. I doubt that dumbass knew anything about this penalty being half the distance or situational awareness. He just didn't want to get bitch dragged into the EZ. |

Yeah, he's not smart enough to know down and distance. He was just trying to cause a serious injury.

The refs need to let the players do some policing, too. If I was a Zebra, I would have told Brown that he gets one free roll on Talib.

If the league doesn't suspend Talib for admitting to what he did, the rest of the league needs to understand that you establish a healthy fear in the other team EARLY in the game so they have it in their mind the rest of the game. So Talib made a calculated decision and was right. They'd not see it for what it was, they'd not toss him because it's the SB, and all it cost the Donks was one yard - the Panthers were going in no matter if it was 1 yard or two. And what that one yard bought him was a certain level of fear for the rest of the game. The NFL has a choice to make and I suspect they'll blow it off with maybe a fine and then make it go away. We can only hope the Chiefs take notes this time and take what the NFL is giving. |

I think "calculated" and Talib have never been in the same ballpark.

This is pretty damned close to the truth, IMHO.

Yeah, the Broncos just aren't the Broncos without employing the biggest POS in the league.
