KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -
Kansas Citians will have the opportunity to find and keep Chiefs-themed draft hats randomly scattered across the city.

The one-day event, known as "Fit for a Kingdom," will be held Wednesday.

Throughout the day, the draft hats will be distributed secretly in public places across the metro from the Northland to Overland Park, Lenexa and Independence.

"Fit for a Kingdom engages our fans in the excitement of the upcoming NFL Draft with an opportunity to find one of hundreds of Chiefs Draft hats from New Era," Chiefs senior vice president of business operations Bill Chapin said. "We are always looking for new and inventive ways to engage Chiefs Kingdom and we are looking forward to seeing the reaction of our fans during the day."

A select number of hats will also be dispersed in iconic Kansas City locations with scavenger hunt-like clues available online and through Chiefs social channels.

The hats will be hidden throughout Kansas City every hour. Clues to the locations will be released on the Chiefs Instagram and Snapchat social media channels.

FitforaKingdom.com will also provide additional location clues and information for those who are not able to follow along on social media.

As of April 24, the Chiefs hold the 18th overall pick in the NFL Draft's first round. The draft will begin April 30 and conclude May 2.
