Mychal Kendricks

A source told Philly Voice's Jimmy Kempski that the Eagles are indeed likely to trade SLB Mychal Kendricks.

Kempski previously strongly speculated Kendricks would be moved, and he now has a source confirming it. Kendricks regressed into a lightly used sub-package linebacker under first-year DC Jim Schwartz, playing fewer snaps than both MLB Jordan Hicks and WLB Nigel Bradham. If the Eagles can't find a taker for the remainder of Kendricks' five-year, $30 million deal, Kempski believes they may designate him a post-June 1 cut, freeing up $5 million in cap room. The Eagles would likely be willing to deal Kendricks for a mid- to late-round pick.

Ah I'd rep you but it doesn't work on my phone. So they should be wanting to move him anyway.

Basically as long as Andy Reid and Alex Smith are here; everything else doesn't really matter imo. That's how I see it. Sorry Pest, wasn't trying to shoot down your thread or anything.

Than why even be here? Why root for the team or watch a game? You may not like the current QB/Coach, doesn't mean you don't support the team and hope they can improve. The more holes you plug, the less need is there and maybe we actually spend picks on that first round QB.

I got to give you this much, that is ONE hell of a leap in logic.

Because my hope is that we trade for Kendricks and draft a QB in the 1st round.

Yeah I know....wishful thinking.

Please make this happen.

Another need would be filled with a proven player and that would give KC the ability to take a shot at potentially drafting a QB if Reid/Dorsey think one of them could be a legit QBOTF.

This is where I'm at basically.

If the Chiefs don't draft a QB in the first 2 rounds or acquire Romo, I will be a casual NFL observer in 2017 who won't have any expectations for this team at all.

I'm here to listen about the opinions that others have to share in regards to the Chiefs. And of course to offer mine as well.

I root for them all the time because I want to see them hoist the Lombardi trophy. I have stuck with them through thick and thin. I've been a fan for the last 25 years which I know is nothing compared to some folks but I do empathize on some of the pain and joy. Some of us still haven't seen the ultimate joy of winning that SB mainly because the Chiefs haven't had the right QB/coach combo.

I was just implying that moves like these express little significance in regards to winning. We've seen the Chiefs plug a lot of holes in recent years. Has it proven to really matter? No. Because again they didn't get the right QB/coach combo which outweighs anything else.

You could still have holes on your team, but great QBs like Manning and Brady have proven to be ideal in masking holes on their team. A great head coach does wonders for your team outside of player personnel. I don't just focus on players anymore. I focus on the intricacies of the game. I read a thread here a while back started by a man named "rabblerouser" and he said something that really stuck with me in that a good head coach comes down to one bottomline, the ability to display good game management skills. To me this means a lot of things, for one, being able to game plan well and make good in-game adjustments in order to counter against the opposition. Being able to manage a game clock. Being able to make the right play calls in critical situations. Or just being able to adapt in general. Our coaching staff does not have the intelligence to perform such things. But what I'm getting at is stuff like that outweighs potential player personnel transactions like Mychal Kendricks by a wide margin.

Reality is, every team has holes but it's about getting the most important aspects of your team down in order to compensate for those holes. That's what I've learned from watching football over the years. That's why I don't stress about potential moves like these anymore. That's just me.

To piggy back on Shaid's post for a moment: Why is it that we can't discuss things like the possibility of getting a long term replacement for DJ without having to always devolve into the QB/coach discussion? Yes, this is important and most likely the main thing from the Chiefs achieving what we are all rooting for. But there are 52 other guys on the team to evaluate from a fan perspective but this has become almost impossible on CP because too many people seem to think that those other 52 don't even matter without a change at QB and/or HC.

It is just getting old to not be able to have these other discussions.

Exactly. Look, we all know we need an upgrade at QB, the entire NFL knows we need an upgrade at QB. Just for grins, let's try to discuss the OP.

Would love to see this. We have been spoiled with the ILB position, and either DJ comes back healthy and we have depth or it's time to replace him. Don't need to see another game of DJ Alexander and Ramik Wilson trying to stop Le'Veon Bell.

It bs

I can't even believe this guy was elected as a mod in the first place?

He used to derail a lot of things I said in the past by telling me to eff off all the time. Clearly a bully but yet he is one of the people in charge here?

He just wants ammo so he could use posts against me because he is clearly biased towards me. When a person doesn't like someone, that person will do whatever it takes to work against that person. That's all this is.
