DayZ

With the DayZ standalone playable alpha release looming, I thought I would check out the mod version of the game. http://dayzdev.tumblr.com/

If you dont know, DayZ is an open world survival zombie game modification based off of the military sim ArmA 2 games. www.dayzmod.com

Basically its hardcore mode survival against zombies and even more dangerous, other players.

I have been watching vids for months and took advantage of a steam sale today to pick up ArmA 2.

Anyone playing DayZ right now? Servers? Thoughts? I have a teamspeak we can use!

I'm in for 5-man with us and the Canadians. I think Quag invites his viewers to play along, but I think all his viewers come from a home for the mentally disabled..

Yea.. that guy was a co-worker of quags. Total dipshit. was a big cluster****. I stayed in TS and talked to one of the Canadian guys, and pretty much told him we where affiliated with the cluster**** crew.

Well he broke my legs before the big firefight, so for the second night in a row I missed out on the giant battle.

I swear I shot him 10 times with an SKS and he didn't die. He got me with his axe.

DayZ

Also they were playing Arma 3 and using your guys DayZ channel earlier. I wish i had more than 4 slots on my TS now cause I wanted to get you other 5 to talk about how we should have handled that situation once he killed Stanley the first time.

They are welcome to do so as long as they are being respectful.

And honestly, I did handle the situation, in theory. I shot him in the ****ing face. Except, Stanley kept saying it was the red shirt dude, so that's who got shot in the face. I would have shot anyone in the face for it, except for you.

Sooooooooo yea anyways, once he got belligerent I banned him from TS. And even though the Yolo dude was a dipshit, he pretty much was laying waste to the group that attacked us from the hill.. though I guess I could have done the same thing with a LRS mosin too.

Either way, that's part of DayZ shenanigans and we just have to get better.

OH btw I have decided the the SKS is a piece of shit. I shot a guy at point blank 3 times with it and he didn't go down.

Ill stick with m4/mosin for now.

Yeah I haven't used the M4 at all but I prefer the Mosin 100 fold over the SKS. M4 was my main weapon in COD4. I wonder if they are similar.

So probably not the best thread for this, but right now I am dealing with a Sony Vaio F series laptop. I already threw out the specs for it. To anyone's knowledge, can the gpu be upgraded? Warranty is passed. It's the GeForce 540

laptop? vaio? I highly doubt it. Sony is horrible for computers imo, especially laptops. I hear they are actually trying to sell vaio off.
