Its not a platoon. Moose is getting a day off. Players get those sometimes. With Hosmer, its either him or Butler, and Butler is better.

Meh, if this were against an AL team I would agree but given it's an NL team in their house (their rules) I don't see much of a problem with it

It is much easier to win n games vs the NL. Look at the inter league splits.

They probably don't need rest, but guys on the bench also need work. We don't want them to take the field for the first time in 3.5 weeks.
