How about the coach shoulder some of this blame?

Shitty game plans. Zero adjustments. Awesome clock management.

Reid isn't without his faults. He's ignored Jamaal to the point where I'm ready to throw shit, blown timeouts in situations that a 15+ year veteran has no business doing so, and called some questionable plays in crucial drives..

But he's done a fantastic job of maximizing this team's potential. As far as talent is concerned, we've basically got Jamaal, Kelce, Houston and Poe and a bunch of slap sticks, and yet we come to play every week.

And we all wish he would feed Jamaal more but his passing plays are getting guys open. If Alex would be a mor effective passer, we would hardly notice that Jamaal isn't getting work. Instead, Alex takes the easy checkdown or eats a sack on 80% of the plays we run so we pine for Charles..

I agree with all of this. He's a master of play-design and developing talented role players that wouldn't be given a shot anywhere else. Basically, he can make a bad team look better than they are, but won't make much difference with a team that's already good.

Reid is the kind of coach you'd want to help build up a franchise. Eventually, we'll need to move on.

Nonsense 12 to 15 carries is about all Jamaal can handle now days. If anything Reid used him to much and didn't work Davis into the lineup enough. I love JC but he is not a spring chicken in RB age now. He gets hurt a lot and is constantly going off the field for concussion protocol.

His injury "issues" are way overblown. The guy averaged 5 YPC this season mostly getting banged up the middle behind an offensive line that opened up no holes.

I like Knile but he's no savior. He averaged less than 4 YPC behind the same line as Jamaal. If you take away, say, 50 carries from Jamaal and give them to Knile you're looking at a huge difference in offensive production.

Even if that's what you believe, we should be smart about how he's used. If he's averaging 5+ YPC and looking good (SF game comes to mind immediately) then he needs to be fed. Then you can afford to take a few carries away from him in another game in which he's less effective.

Snap the ****ing ball was probably the greatest moment of Todd Haley's head coaching career.

The more I read, the more I think Alex smith hinders the offense. I know, we've all been told etc.

But Reids offense is getting guys open.

I don't think the injury issues are overblown. I think the dude was pretty banged up from day 1 this year.

So was Marshawn Lynch.. And Adrian Peterson is always dealing with nagging injuries.

Gio Bernard missed time this year. CJ Spiller. Fred Jackson. The Broncos went through like 5 RBs. Ryan Mathews and Danny Woodhead. Leveon Bell got hurt, albeit late.

That's the nature of the beast.

Here Are 13 Plays Alex Smith Wants Back By Sam Millinger

That's why I'm saying Jamaal should be the last back we pay out big money to.

Find yourself a QB, draft RBs in rounds 2-6, use the shit out of them, then move on before they command a big payday.

Once you get the right QB, RB won't matter much.
