Do you think KC will draft a QB in the 1st or 2nd round?

Lots of smoke around KC and Qbs in this upcoming draft...but I've been let down before by hope of drafting a QB high and passing for a fatty bust.

I'm just interested to see who believes KC will draft a QB in the first 2 rounds.

Not that you want them to draft one...do you think KC will actually draft one.

I'm interested to see how many here think it's actually going to happen.

Since I've been alive I've got to see Grbac, Green, Croyle, huard, thigpen, cassel, and Smith play quarterback.

Pick a qb for **** sake........ we won't though.

That certainly seems to be Dorsey's philosophy

Draft for a position one year before you might lose a guy at said position.

Dorsey's first pick has followed that plan each year he's been here.

There's that, as well. Dorsey has a pattern since he's been here with planning ahead for a starter about to leave. Who besides Alex is in the same "cheaper to cut him" boat in 2018?

Will get a study QB in the later rounds.

A stud like Bray or Murray.

We lost two DL. Hali is gone in 18 and so far we have not picked up Fords option. Johnson could retire. Alex is still under contract but is easily cut with no more money owed. With all that being said who the knows.

It really most likely will come down to how the draft goes down. I don't think there's a player they just love so much that they will sell out and go up to get them. We have no money and 10 picks so we will trade at some point but not likely for one of these QB's in the first round.

Trubisky's NFL career will depend on who takes him.

If the Browns draft him, he's going to suck, and everybody will say, "What a bust QB!"

However, in the off chance a team drafts him and lets him sit for a year and gives him some stability, he will become a very very good NFL QB I think.

You know... like KC...

I have been very realistic about KC drafting a QB in the first round. I have never predicted it until now. Watson will be our QB. I think we move up to #18 and get him. It will take our 1st, 2nd, and one of our 3rds but this is happening. He's the QB Reid's been waiting for.

We cut Howard. Lost poe but signed Logan so that's a wash. This team loves to draft DL. We should have had the greatest defensive lines in the history of football

Nobody, but you know they could probably save half of that amount by giving Smith a contract extension with a significant signing bonus.

We also have these players up for FA next year:

Dee Ford LB
Justin March-Lillard OLB
Ramik Wilson ILB
Albert Wilson WR
Jarvis Jenkins DE
Rakeem Nunez-Roches DT
Bennie Logan DT
Cairo Santos K
Dustin Colquitt P
De'Anthony Thomas RB
Anthony Sherman FB
Terrance Mitchell CB
Kenneth Acker CB
Phillip Gaines CB
Tyler Bray QB

While none of these guys are elite, there are still several players at the same position that could lead us to draft that position. Grabbing a Cornerback or linebacker in the first would not surprise me at all. DT is a need this year, with the recent loss of Poe and Howard, and even a bigger need next year.

This is a strong defensive draft, we have defensive needs immediately and in the near future.

I don't think our Oline or Dline has lived up to their potential.

What makes you think that the Chiefs will go against history this year?

Hell, my optimism that the Chiefs will draft a QB early is at an all-time low this year. Alex is fine in their eyes, and will be around 3-4 more years.
