Well, it would allow the team to get a significant upgrade at the ILB position. Willis will cost something like 4 years, $35-40 mil. That's doable with Hali and Berry off the books. Still room to sign Houston.

K-State has a Junior CB named Danzel McDaniel who just lays the wood time and time again.

I think he could bulk up a little and be a nasty Safety prospect next year.

Quinten Rollins - Miami (Ohio)...

6'0" 205, hits like a truck, plays the ball, solid in coverage.

Has played alot of CB for the Redhawks, but looks like he'd be phenomenal as a FS.

We need an allstar linebacker . DJ may never be the same . But at the same time a franchise CB would be helpful with the Defense we present.

First round pick on a typical run of the mill safety? No thanks. especially having the worst O line, and worst WR corps in the nfl.

I wouldn't call Prewitt "run of the mill."

The guy has legitimate NFL size and is superb at playing the field with the ball in the air. He doesn't quite have Berry's athleticism, but he's got better instincts and plays the pass better.

Agree with Sac, Prewitt is easily the best safety coming out. Likely first rounder when all is said and done.

Only thing I'm not sure about is KC spending a 1st on the position.

he is a solid player no doubt, and he is one of the best safeties in this draft. But I dont think hes anything special. His upside is that of a regular safety in the league. A pretty big hitter/decent tackler/Decent ball skills. But the main thing to me is, I feel that safety is the least important position on defense. I dont agree with taking a safety in the first round unless that safety is a ridiculous talent, like berry, troy, reed, taylor. OR if your team is pretty stacked everywhere else, and you have a safety need. neither of which really applies in this situation.
