2015 KC Chiefs off-season was a success

Facts:

KC Chiefs draft Marcus Peters in the 1st round (18th overall) and he ends up winning defensive player of the year.

Eric Berry overcomes Hodgins Lymphoma (this is the best success story of the off-season imo) and then all he does is win AP comeback player of the year

Rodney Hudson signs a 5yr/45million dollar deal with the Raiders and the KC Chiefs immediately got his replacement at a much less cost by drafting Mitch Morse in the second round.

Signing Jeremy Maclin was great. 87 catches, 1088 yards and 8 touchdowns. I'm taking that anyday of the week.

Charcandrick West and Spencer Ware were nice under the radar signings by the KC Chiefs that helped stabilize the running game and solidified RB depth.

*If the Chiefs can have another two consecutive successful off-seasons like 2015, I think they'd compete in the SuperBowl in the next couple of years. I think the talent on this team would be stacked and as a team they may be able to overcome some of the coaching ineptitude. I also think they need to sign some of their key players like Howard, Berry, DJ, Sean Smith, etc....Sign those guys so the nucleus of the team is intact and just keep drafting well. That's asking for a perfect world though lol and we know that doesn't exist. Oh well. All we could do is hope for the best.

I was jumping w/ joy when we drafted him...was a big fan of his in college. Just one of those one of a kind athletes. Chasing down RB's in college like they were nothing.

Niether West nor Ware were signed in the 2015 offseason.
