In contrast, Bum was prepared to go as long as necessary. In addition, the Giants still had Romo and a deeper bullpen. Even if Yost was more aggressive, there's still a fair chance we're walking away with a loss.
Didn't remember us being as burned as you describe. Seemed like MadBum woulda been more burned. It's water under the bridge for me now, so will just take your word for it. 2015 cured all pain!

In addition to being unlucky, he's also been taking some of the absolute worst swings I have ever see from a ML player. He looks like a Monkey ****ing a football batting left handed.

2016. That's how long he gets. We're talking about an integral part of the WS winning team. I'd be shocked if Ned benched him.

I have a lot of fun thinking about that series now (after denying its existence for an entire year).

Overall I would have put the odds at 55-45 in the Giants favor. I guess we could have sent out Frasor or Finnegan, but I felt the Giants exposed Finny in the last part of that series. Ned said he likely would have gone to Shields/Duffy in an extra inning game, but neither inspired confidence in their performances down the stretch.

Yeah but how many of those balls that he put in play so far have been weak dribblers right into to the shift? I think this may be one of those cases that BABIP doesn't quite tell you everything. Reminds me of Moose a few years ago.
