Chiefs Offseason Planet Evaluation: Eric Berry

His season was short, but he played. What do you think about our longtime safety?

Eric played in 1 game this season, making 1 start. He recorded 4 tackles and 3 assists.

No grade

2nd rounder

Strength

But all recent reports say he is well on track to be 100% by camp, so I'm hoping for a big year from him

Hope he can still play. Worried.

We're going need him next year his leadership is what he will be about and ready to relieve his pain on opposite team.

He deserves a season to fulfill his hearts contention.

Tough to grade him for 1/16th of a season played but he was ****ing INCREDIBLE for that 1 game. He erased Gronk and was in on one of the big 4th down stops. If that game was any indication, he was on his way to having an epic season.

Give me 10% more speed. Strength is comparatively easy to add. You can't teach speed.

Yeah, I gave him no grade. I didn't want to give him a bad grade due to his 1-game performance, but I couldn't give him a good grade since he didn't do much for those other 15 games except be inspiring.

This is now his defense( if it wasn't already ), and we're going to need him slamming bodies at 100% all season long if this D has any chance at being led by the nose to the kind of output that we need and expect from a Chiefs defense.

Godspeed, Eric.

It's hard to judge much from just one game. He's come back better from each one of his big injuries, so as long as he's healthy I think he'll be a force in 2018.

Tremendous quality individual with more heart and courage than any other Chief. Staying healthy is his nemesis. Love the guy, just hope he can return and be the same player...or close to the same player he was two years ago.
