Whether you loved him or hated him, he helped bring this team out of the toilet and his foundation is doing good work. Some fans are saying thank you by donating $11 dollars to the Alex Smith Foundation. It's not a lot of money for most people, and 95% of money given to the foundation goes directly to the kids.

Agreed. Kids don't ask to be born. It's bad enough these fostered kids have to go through life missing out on any chance of the traditional nuclear family. Then when they turn 18 they're just kind of told 'Alright, you're an adult. Go figure shit out on your own.' Pretty sad, really.
