Yeah, I mean, they were down 14-0, and came back to take the lead without the help of the defense.

Then, after getting the lead in the fourth quarter, your defense that has Poe, Houston, Hali, and berry on it, allows a full back, REECE, and Derek Carr, a rookie to run an 8 minute td drive.

Any qb should be able to overcome that.

OF COURSEEEEE.

Sure, if he didn't have his back turned to Bowe he could have set his feet and thrown it before the defender got there.

Look at the circumstances. You're down in the red zone and you have a surefire field goal to take the lead. Your defense has been pretty good for the most part in the 2nd half. Do you risk the off-balanced throw with a defender closing, knowing that you're not going to get as much velocity as you want on the ball due to the conditions? Or do you throw it away and take the sure lead with a defense that has been money in the 4th quarter?

It just turned out that tonight was a night where the defense wasn't going to be good enough to stop a rookie QB and his non-existent running game on a 7+ minute drive.

He did it TWICE in California, in a playoff game, matter of fact, in the SAME game.

Smith threw that past trusting that he would complete his route; he didn't. Game over.
It feels like a timing route and he was in the Bowe role as opposed to his usual decoy route role. The pass was throw to a spot.
If he slipped he has an excuse. Otherwise he gave up on the route. It was one of those go past the marker, come back and grab it and get out for the 1st down.

And you want to pin that on one GUY?

Come on now, yeah, alex didn't play that last possession well, but lets be realistic. That's not his game, and this offense isn't built that way.
Dude, seriously, stop this shit. The Clay thing was cute and funny, but it's time to shove that aside.

Alex Smith's ass got crowned around here on our winning streak, and that's clearly undeserved.

Did you watch tonight's game and say "That's my QB?"

He had a ****ing awful game. Against an 0-10 division opponent. This isn't just some 0-10 NFC squad. It was a division opponent. Those games matter and shit.

Alex Smith is a game manager. The Chiefs offense is built around that fact. So expecting this team to go 60 yards in 90 seconds isn't realistic.

What the **** are you talking about with this back turned to Bowe shit? Was he looking at the other ****ing end zone?

No he wasn't. He SAW Bowe when he was open and had time to make a throw. He hesitated.
