As the article correctly stated, KState is selling really well. KU is picking up again due to basketball. Chiefs and Royals are kind of sad. People walk in and ask if their stuff is discounted or they laugh and make snide remarks about the teams.

Boycotting merchandise won't hurt Clark or the rest of the Hunts or even the team. It does hurt small business owners who sell their crap. And those who work part time for the hell of it.

I don't want to buy Chiefs crap. So if it comes down to buying Chiefs crap or letting a small business get hurt, the small business can go **** itself.

It sucks, but that's life.

Oh, I don't want to buy it either. Certainly not at full price (see employee discount) and certainly not the overpriced merchandise (made in 3rd world countries, thanks Adidias and Nike, with an astronomical markup) being sold around town.

I'm simply stating the fact that Clark Hunt's wallet will not feel the pinch or the pain of people not buying Chiefs gear. Local businesses who sell it will. Thus, the pain Clark and Pioli are inflicting is not only on the fans and the city but also ON THE LOCAL ECONOMY.

I guess we should be grateful we aren't holding the bag to the tune of the Miami Marlins and didn't pay for a new stadium to go along with the suck.
