Our Tampa area group of Chief fans are having a road trip to watch the Chiefs destroy the Fins.

Tickets have been bought. We have 45 tickets together in Section 110. Seat 1 is right by the tunnel where the Chiefs go to and from the locker room.

Tailgate info

We are going to have Jon Russell BBQ shipped to us overnight. They have 4 locations in the KC metro area. We used them for the Tampa game tailgate. Everyone raved about their meat. The burnt ends especially.

The total will be $575. This price includes shipping. The shipment will feed 60 people. He will ship burnt ends, pork, sausage and beans. Last time we had a bunch of BBQ left after the tailgate. We munched on it after the game while traffic cleared out.

I've got a hotel room with an oven. I’ll have them ship it overnight to the hotel in dry ice. I'll heat the Q up and bring to the tailgate. It was fantastic BBQ last time. No sauce needed. I'll get some Paper plates, utensils, napkins etc and bring to the tailgate. You bring whatever cold beverages work best for you and or the family.

You want in? Let me know how many. $10 bucks a head. If you want extra or have buddies showing up in Miami but not sitting with us but would like to tailgate with Chief fans, let me know.

We have 45 tickets sitting with us. That leaves an additional 15 spots at $10 bucks a head. I think we will have an additional 15 Chief fans join our tailgate but ya never know.

First 60 to get the money to me get to chow down on genuine KC BBQ in Miami. We are cutting it off at 60 to make sure everyone has plenty.

They don't have electronic delivery of the parking tickets. Too many people are worried about snail mail delivery of the parking tickets. I've talked to my Miami Dolphins account guy and here's what we are going to do.

We are going to have to move the tailgate to the cash lot. It's the one on the left hand side of the map at the corner of NW 205th street and NW 27th street/universitry labeled "cash" on the map. It's still in the main Dolphins parking lot and on the side of the stadium where our seats are located. The Dolphins guy says we should have no issues getting into that lot if we are there when it opens and we can park anywhere we want to in that lot for the first hour.

There is a WalMart about 4-5 blocks from where we will tailgate. Looks like a good place to pick up tailgating supplies, sun screen etc.The address is 19501 NW 27th ave Mami Gardens, Florida. 33056. We will meet in the parking lot nearest the 27th street road and closest to the stadium. We will leave there together at 12:00 to get in line for the parking lot.

I still only have about 1/2 the group signed up for BBQ. You want to do your own thing thats cool, but if you do want to have the BBQ, let me know ASAP.


· Kickoff is at 4:25 PM. Parking lots open 4 hours before game time.
· We need volunteers to meet up outside the stadium before the gates open at 11:45 am. We will them drive in together when the gates open to ensure we have enough space to tailgate together.
· The orange lots (which are pre-paid and require passes) are the best for tailgating. You can get -7-10 vehicles together before going in to park, and then park all of them side by side so that you can tailgate behind all the vehicles rather than just one. We will have an 8'x10' spot behind each vehicle in our section for tailgating. With 7-10 vehicles together, you have a 80' x 10' tailgating spot. I’ll have the Arrowhead South banner with us.
· Anyone who arrives within the first hour get to choose where they want to park while all others after that will be directed where to park by parking attendants

· Occupy only ONE (1) parking space per vehicle. Sorry, but no saving spaces allowed.
· Tailgate directly behind your vehicle; Use the 8' x 10' space outlined on the ground.
· Do NOT block the fire lane; The lane is needed for emergency response vehicles.
· No box trucks, trailers, grills in tow, or any catering service may be brought in.
· No kegs are allowed on the property.
· Possession of alcoholic beverages by an underage person is prohibited.
· No generators, home speakers, banners and/or DJ's may be used.
· Please keep music volume low and do not play music with inappropriate language.
· Barbeque grills are allowed; Open flame fires are not permitted.
· Extinguish hot coals before leaving.
· Do NOT dispose of charcoal briquettes on the ground. When cold, place them in a plastic bag and deposit them in a trash bin.
· Clean up your area before entering the stadium so it's safe for you and others.

I live about an hour and a half north of Miami in Palm Beach Gardens and would love to make that game with a bunch of Chiefs fans. Sorry I took so long to inquire but I just saw this today. I was going to go but wait and get the tickets closer to game day. I know two tickets for sure and I have sent messages to my sons who live in Charlotte and Scottsdale to see if they can make it. I can let you know exactly how many tomorrow, if that's ok. At least that will help the guys who have other commitments and can't make it.

All tickets are taken. The ones that had weddings come up were snatched up pretty quick. We are in Section 110. No matter what, you can always tailgate with us before the game.

Most prefer grass and we are expecting 60-100 people at the tailgate. Know the perfect place to tailgate?

Without someone local to bring a grill out, I don't see a way to cook the meat for the 60+ Chief fans that will be at the tailgate. Anyone got a brilliant idea, I'm all ears. Otherwise, everyone is on their own for food and drink.

Looking forward to the Tampa Bay Chiefs meetup group getting back together!

BRC has done an Awesome job organizing. We've gone from (sometimes) 3 of us sitting at a table watching the games to over 40 people. For opening day 34 people have already RSVP'd.

BRC - I have a conflict on Sunday (who the hell schedules a baby reveal on the first Sunday of the NFL season????) but should make it for the 2nd half!

I've got a guy who has a slingbox and can connect to the local KC Chiefs feed from KC. I'm thinking of moving the meetups out of bars and into fans homes or making multiple sites for people to meet up. We may have outgrown a single bar.

I doubt you can get tickets through him anymore. I'd try stubhub. I bet there is not a lot of demand. Get yourself tickets in our section.

No matter where you sit, you will be welcome at the tailgate. Right now we are trying to finalize shipping in some KC BBQ for the tailgate.
