Kaepernick fined $10,000 for wearing Beats By Dre

Colin Kaepernick was fined $10,000 dollars by the NFL for wearing Beats By Dre headphones. Bose is now “The Official Sound Of The NFL” narrowly replacing the sound your brain makes when sloshed up against the cranium wall from violent impact. Players are free to wear whatever they want on personal time and for now are permitted to form their own world view:

“Under terms of its agreement with the league, the NFL confirmed, Bose received a broad set of rights that entitle it to prevent players (or coaches) from wearing any other manufacturer’s headphones during televised interviews. This ban extends to TV interviews conducted during pre-season training camps or practice sessions and on game day — starting before the opening kickoff through the final whistle to post-game interviews conducted in the locker room or on the podium. The restriction remains in place until 90 minutes after the play has ended.”

I heard this. Tried both. Honestly preferred Beats. Maybe they just fit my ears better, but they were way more comfortable (studio) and blocked external noise better.

Why is there a need to wear headphones during TV interviews? They didn't say he couldn't wear them for warm ups, off the bus etc....

Kaepernick goes all out for his sponsors, which is why he is always seen with Beats. He wants to earn every penny Dr. Dre is paying him to promote their products.

But BOSE is the official headset of the NFL. Cant have competition. Not even from one single guy on one 53 man roster among 32 teams. Cant have 1 loose canon.

All this fine did was bring attention to Beats by Dre, and give them millions in publicity and free advertising. This so scared BOSE, they just gave every player and staffer on all 32 teams a free set of $400 QC25 headphones at a cost of over a million dollars to keep thevIndians on the reservation. (Am I getting fined for saying that?)

Smart move Goodell. What an incompetent boob.

Kap is not a douche for wearing these constantly, just trying to be a GREAT CELebrity endorse man for his sponsors. No wonder advertisers are beating a path to his door. He even gives his sponsors the same 110% he gives his coaches.
