Can you name the 100 largest cities in the U.S. in 10 minutes?

https://hugequiz.com/quizzes/geograp...argest-cities/

As a tip, this is largest cities, not largest metro areas.

Go here, type 100 into the box, and start typing. It puts up a handy map to help you out. It doesn't have a time limit, so give yourself 10 minutes and report back.

I think about geography a lot, I mean a LOT, and I got 81. I missed a couple of obvious ones, but in looking at the ones I missed, 81 was about my limit.

I didn't even think about zooming, but I don't think it would have helped me anyway, given the ones that I missed.

I got a few by zooming... I've looked at LA and Phoenix enough on Google maps that once I zoomed in, it jogged my memory on a few. I left maybe 5 in Texas and they mostly seemed obvious once I finished (and hell, I even guessed Corpus Christi).

82/100.

I spent a good deal of time working in Texas last year, so clearing that state inflated my score. There are legitimately 4 or 5 cities on that list that I'm not sure I've ever heard of before in my life.

I did 84/100 but I played for 35 minutes.

I was getting so pissed at all the cities in CA and TX I couldn't name. Must have typed in 100 cities and all goose eggs!

I cleared 43 or 44 states.

I only got the two outside the continental US when I accidentally hit the (-) on the map.

73. My upper limit would've been about 80 as there are like 20 on the list I never would have thought about.

76. That was with quite a bit of guessing at some of the suburbs like grapevine and aurora.

I wonder how the relative scoring would change if we were penalized for wrong guesses. At the end, I was just throwing out every California city I could think of that started with "San" or "Santa".
