Most still haven't realized how successful the SEC Network is. Just wait until these revenue distributions start to roll out to the individual schools. The SEC Network is a total game changer. It went from not existing nine months ago to the fifth most valuable sports network in the country in less than a year.
Realistically, it is crazy that the network hasn't been online for even 1 year and these are the numbers.

That was definitely the Sesame Street "one of these things doesn't belong" part of that list.

I think I remember that there's something peculiar about the Golf channel, like that number is the combined value of the Golf Channel and NBC's broadcasts of all the PGA events.

Not only did the Tigers go 3-15 in the SEC, but they lost Jonathan Williams III to transfer, missed out on some key recruits and saw assistant coach Tim Fuller leave the program. Things aren’t going to get any better in 2015-16, either."

Where is the Longhorn Network?

As soon as ESPN can end their contract with UT for the LHN, UT will leave and blow up the Big 12 for good.

There isn't a feasible reason for UT to remain in the Big 12 other than their fleecing of ESPN for $15 million a year for the LHN.

As for the SEC Network. Simply put, it's a game changer for Mizzou in a way that nothing else could approach from a financial and exposure perspective.

Presumably, the Big X will eventually join the major conferences in trying to get a TV network started. (although, we thought after last year they'd join them in establishing a football championship game, but they seem to still be in denial about that)

Whether Texas and OU will utlimately be content in their own private conference or decide to set realignment off again will just come down to money. Can they make in the Big X what they'd make in the SEC or PAC 12 or wherever?

Dude, every Mizzou fan agrees with you. We aren't in denial like you are with kU football, Big 12 stability/status. The good thing is Mizzou bball is a good enough program that a coaching change can correct this.

If you think Mizzou hoops is a good enough program to hire a quality coach (esp when Lurch drops another steamer) and that the "SEC status" - whatever that means - will make the climb back easier.....you're the one in denial

Alden skull****ed the Mizzou basketball program straight into the ground, but the potential is there. We just have to suffer through the "True Son" reign for another season, then we can jettison that horrible idea and get serious about rebuilding Mizzou basketball.
