The Motorcycle Discussion Thread
I figure there are some motorcycle guys/gals on CP, so I thought we could have a place to talk all things Motorcycles.
Tire Mount and Balance Prices (as of 10/29/16) Prices based on if you remove the wheels yourself and bring the wheels and new tires with you: Cycle Gear - $35 per wheel if you buy tires from them. $58 per wheel if you buy tires elsewhere Rawhide - $65 per wheel (assuming it would be the same at other HD dealers. they book it at 1/2 hr per wheel) C R Cycle Tires (DeSoto) - $30 per wheel Cheapest I've found my Michelin Commander II's. Seem like they have good prices on other brands too. http://www.jakewilson.com - Free 3 day shipping on orders over $75 Last edited by Dayze; 10-29-2016 at 09:02 PM.. |

I'd probably be up for a ride with my fellow CP bikers. Can't do May 1st. I should be riding up to Minneapolis that weekend (provided the weather isn't too cold).

If so, Mike Wilson (Dyno Mike) in Belton has his shit together. Or Walt Sipp at ProCharger could probably recommend one.

There is a charity ride leaving The Bar in Lee's Summit. It is for a lady named Kelly Springer. If any of you did the Firefighter Memorial ride last fall, she was one of the people that helped organize it. From the Facebook event page:
"Sunday, April 24th 5 Stops ~ 5 Cards ~ Best Hand Wins $150 Featuring Scotty & The Soultones Registration 11:00 - Kickstands up at Noon Kelly Springer was in a motorcycle accident on March 6, 2016. Although she did not endure any life threatening injuries, she did undergo reconstructive shoulder surgery. Her medical bills are very extensive and are continuing to grow. Kelly was in the process of transitioning to a new job that would offer medical insurance. That being said she has the huge weight of medical bills to pay. Kelly is always the first to volunteer her time to others in need and relentlessly will go above and beyond to help anyone in need. She needs our help now." If any of you can make it, let me know, and we'll have a beer.

I might be down for the benefit ride.
gotta see how the rest of week shakes out first. how much is the registration? not that the amount is that big of a deal, just want to know how much cash to bring. Hmmm.

25 per rider I believe, 10 for extra poker hands. I'm just hoping and praying my front tire has enough life to get me through the weekend. New one on ethe way, but the old one is balding.

Anyone doing the Cassoday run this Sunday? I had some plans that are looking like they might fall through so I might be able to get out and ride Sunday.
