Jesus Christ you are stupid. Neither I nor anybody else gives a shit if you like kids or not. You are entitled to make the decision to never have children. It's the definitive comments like "kids ruin lives" that makes you look stupid. How the **** would you know?

No I got royally ****ed In MI.

There's nothing bigger.

Like I said...this June, when we go to renegotiate the visitation...the gloves come off.

I screwed up by trying to be nice. I was trying to not make everyone lifelong enemies, and I didn't nail her ass to the wall when I could have...

Observation.

And often people with kids don't even realize their lives are being ****ed up...so outside observation is the best evaluation.

Well it's certainly not because of kids...

But even if those relationships didn't or don't last...no worries. There are plenty of fish in the sea...who don't want guppies.

Well, it's been said in this thread, but it's all about that kid. You conduct yourself with honor around her, and you're golden. I've had many friends go through divorces and I've seen it get nasty. My advice has always been just concentrate on the kid. If you are a man of faith, do a lot of prayer. The ex is a pitiful person, yes. So, relax and know you are better than that.

Send her only what you owe. Do it on time. When you go out there, you spend time with your kid. The ex and her goofy boyfriend don't have anything to do with it. I'm actually surprised you expect her to have anything to do with you, except maybe because you are helping her with extra money. Like I said, knock that shit off. You don't owe her anything except what the courts say, and the respect she gets for being the mother of your child. Other than that, pity that fool. But do nothing more for her.

The extra money you were sending...save it for the kid in a account for college or something. Be the better person.

She is an emotional person, so she will self-destruct.

My friends have went through similar issues, and most of them were patient and waited for the implosion to occur.

When it happens document it, and be relentless in court.

I didn't really like kids at all...until I had them. I can't imagine life without them.

Sounds like stockholm syndrome to me. After-the-fact rationalization.

I have no idea how old you are, but I'll chalk up your views to being young and immature. Sure, there are times being a parent is a pain in the ass. Those times are all forgotten and really worth it when your kid does something to remind you how awesome life is.

I had to terminate an employee last week that I have worked with for 10 years and who I consider a friend outside of work. It tore me up and I was feeling pretty shitty that day after work. My son (3 years old) noticed my mood and asked me why I was sad. I told him "Sometimes Dad's have to make decisions that make them sad." He looked at me and said "I love you. Doesn't that make you feel better?" All I could say was, "yes it does, son. Yes it does." My son also likes to run around the house in his Hosmer jersey wearing his Hulk hands screaming "Hosmer smash!"

Those things make the pain in the ass things worthwhile.

See...that kid has made your life so shitty that him behaving like a normal human and not being a little shit-producing monster is now happiness to you.

Holy christ.

Lowered expectations.
