You want American, I'll give you America.

This photo demonstrates just how cool my childhood was in rural America.

My dad was a hipster 40 years before hipsters tried to be my dad from 1975. In this photo, we are at my grandpas farm, wearing matching jackets my mom made, feeding a baby deer an Olympia. The hat my dad is wearing came from someone in Vietnam who no longer needed it.

This is the most American moment I can think of....

No more Manning forehead jokes from you, sir!!

Like Sputnick, spherical yet quite pointy in parts.

My grandma thought I was a water head when I was one....lucky for me I became so manly and huge that my head appears normal...unless you are the person birthing my children.

We had baby deer about every year back then....we'd bottle feed them and they'd follow us around at grandmas like dogs. Had a couple of baby coons too.

Looking back, even though we were broke I had an awesome childhood

We have a family reunion in a couple of weeks. If I can catch a Bambi we are going to try to recreate this photo.

Day after 9/11 I celebrated my daughters 4th birthday in our backyard by Bbqing ribs and hamburgers. The weird thing about that day was no plane was in the sky. Nothing mattered to me but my daughter and family.
I was proud to wear this leather jacket.

Reminds me of the saga of John Ritter's youngest daughter.

Born 09/11/98
John died 09/11/03

When I was 17 me and my girlfriend got down on a picnic table at old mill park in blue springs. It was the 4th of July around 11pm. People across the street in the lake community where setting off fireworks and blasting the national anthem. I felt pretty damn patriotic.

Had my first gay sexual experience at a sock hop in 1998. The Falcons and Broncos were going at it, and I was going at it with a trucker from Minneapolis. He had a huge pecker, but an even bigger heart. We got to know each other and it turned out he had been apart of the peace core before hitting the road.
