Diagnose My Car
Chiefs Planet has proven itself to be the place for great information in regards to my fixes around the home and with the car.

Help me out.

My 2008 Nissan Pathfinder essentially has AIDS. 3 years ago we had to replace both the tranny and radiator (intermix issues). Now weird things are happening.

I've already shared about how the fuel tank shows empty well-above half tank (it just plummets to below empty and the electronic display says "Low Fuel.")

Now I've noticed that the horn doesn't work and the controls for the radio in the steering wheel don't work either. The car runs fine (for a Nissan) other than that. Well it rides like a large truck but that's probably suspension stuff (and it's a Nissan).

Where would you start?

There are no electrical problems anymore. Ever. I've fixed so many of those one who sucks the peniss on my pile of ****ing **** planter over the first 300 acres to make my ass crazy. Fuuuuuuuuu******* electrical problems.

I checked on the recall...doesn't apply to mine.

I did notice this morning that whenever the wheel is turned a half revolution to the right that all the steering wheel controls work flawlessly.

The fuel thing is a different issue, I think.

I'm going to go with the clockspring. Chrysler had a problem with these on their 3rd gen minivans and when they went bad it rendered the air bag inoperable so they have a lifetime recall on them. Not sure if you'll be so lucky but might be worth looking into.

Surprised you're having so many problems. I had a '97, one of the best/most reliable vehicles Ive ever owned. Sold it to stumppy's boy and from what I understand he got a lot of miles out of it too. Guess they just dont make them like they used to.
