Build a Video Editing Computer

My sister is wanting me to build her a computer that she can do video editing on for a side job. She is looking to spend between 700-900 dollars for a souped up machine. She wants to order all the parts and have me build the computer and throw Windows 10 on it. I don't need to buy the license because I already have access to those.

So I come to the great wisdom of Chiefsplanet for your recommendation. Lets build the best video editing computer we can for that price range. She is not a gamer at all so we don't need to go that path. Thanks in advance.

Bullshit opinion.

Adobe Premiere runs just as well on PC hardware (it's all Intel hardware anyway morons).

And actually it can run better since it's coded to work specifically with Nvidia hardware and those cards aren't often found in Macs.

Quick question before I build one for you, do you have any parts yet?

903.63 ( Video Card can be downgraded )

This should be enough to handle what she is going to do, HD Space will become a issue but this can be solved later with a external HD she moves the videos to when she is done processing them.

I work in premiere, and it's really only gpu intensive when you're doing complicated edits involving a number of clips and transitions/effects that the software rendering engine can't handle by itself. Which it doesn't sound like she will be based on your description.

And I've edited on a pc for almost ten years. So it can certainly work.

Good build for this right here.

If shes not doing 3d rendering, and just video editing, she doesnt need some great GPU.
