I drafted 2nd a league last night and got Brees at the end of the 2nd round.
If I were you, I'd take the running back because I think you will be surprised who will be there when you pick in the 2nd round. The way your league is set up, everyone will take a RB in the 1st or second round. The worst thing that could happen if you go RB in the first is that the top 3 QBs are gone. No big deal, then load up at WR in the 2nd and 3rd rounds. You should be able to get a QB like Matt Ryan or Dalton later. Both those guys have lots of upside because they throw the ball a lot. I'd target one of them in the 4th, 5th, or 6th rounds. |

I realize it's week 1...
but Manning is going to throw 60 TDs and he's a lock for 25-40 points every week in standard scoring leagues. Whereas the top 3 picks (Jamaal, AP, McCoy) will have shit weeks like they did this week...while 15th round RB's (Knowshon Moreno) will light it up. I'll never spend a 1st round pick on a RB. Ever. Not anymore. Peyton Manning should have been the #1 pick this year in every league no matter the scoring. |

After watching todays game I think I'll be alright with Cutler as my QB provided he can cut down on the INTs. Manning only outscored Cutler by 7 points in my league. I know McCoy didn't have a great game but I think I made the right choice out of the top three RBs. Also landing Bernard as my second RB didn't hurt.

Just to give a comparison the guy who took Manning at #2 has Bush as his starting RB and Gore as his Flex.
